Need advice on installing hidden camera's at work?
For the safety of our employees we’d like to have 2 internet video camera’s installed at our office. To avoid intimidating our employees we’d like to have them hidden, like the smoke detector kind.
The idea would to be able to monitor the video cameras remotely from home. Can someone point me to the software/hardware I would need to accomplish this. 10 Big points for the most helpful answer.

You need to talk to a lawyer, first. In many jurisdictions, it’s illegal to install hidden cameras without the knowledge of employees. Also, monitoring the cameras from a location outside the company may cause legal problems, too. There are also issues with recording and archiving, subsequent use, etc.
Technically, you can get small cameras that you attach to your local area network, which you can then monitor from a local location. Monitoring from outside your network is more complex (in addition to the legal problems mentioned above).
